How to enable hot restart of envoy for mesh, ingress and terminating gateways on k8s?

I am able to enable hot restart using envoyExtraArgs param in values.yml override file. All the applications running on k8s gets the envoy hot restart functionality.

How do i implement hot restart for gateway components ? These components donot have envoy-sidecar running .

Please assist.
