How to handle unstable plugins

In the past months we had regressions with all plugins we use (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes).
By now we saw our last resort to pin the providers down.

Our basic problem were not only the regressions but also the communication with the maintainers of these plugins. Feeling was that bugs are getting closed without proper fixes.
What really makes me worry is that it was the case for all plugins so seems not to be a single outlier.
With this in mind I keep wondering whether one needs to have an Enterprise account to get these regressions properly prioritized.
Or why plugins seem to release unstable versions and not owning it?
