# Terraform plan error

i have just loaded up vs-code with the following simple file

provider “aws” {  
region = “us-east-1”  
access\_key = “access-key”  
secret\_key = “secret-key”  
}  
resource “aws\_instance” “Linux-01” {  
ami = “ami-022e1a32d3f742bd8”  
instance\_type = “t2.micro”  
}

PS C:\Users\titn003\Documents\Terra\Project-1\> terraform version  
Terraform v1.5.0  
on windows\_amd64

Terraform Extension for Visual Studio Code is installed

terraform init is good

However I get the following error message when i load terraform plan

Error while loading schemas for plugin components: Failed to obtain provider schema: Could not load the schema for provider  
│ [Terraform Registry](http://registry.terraform.io/hashicorp/aws:) failed to instantiate provider “[Terraform Registry](http://registry.terraform.io/hashicorp/aws)” to obtain schema:  
│ fork/exec .terraform/providers/registry.terraform.io/hashicorp/aws/5.4.0/windows\_amd64/terraform-provider-aws\_v5.4.0\_x5.exe: The  
│ parameter is incorrect…

Any thoughts please
