I’d like to better understand how you’re trying to use the Ingress functionality. Would you mind sharing a bit more detail regarding what you’re trying to accomplish using the escape hatch override?
Also, I’m not sure whether you saw the announcement, but Consul 1.8 is now GA (Consul 1.8.0 Released!). There were a few Ingress related changes from beta 2 to GA (see https://github.com/hashicorp/consul/blob/v1.8.0-rc1/CHANGELOG.md). I would recommend upgrading so that you have those changes, and are utilizing a supported release.
