Currently My using Consul v0.8.5

The catalog functionality has been available in Consul since its inception and is available in 0.8.5. Is there perhaps another piece of functionality you’re looking to leverage?
If you are looking to use Consul for a brand new deployment, I would recommend using the latest 1.7.2 release as it contains a number of new features and bug fixes over 0.8.5.
