Consul clients can't decrypt the message, despite the key being correct

I have a cluster of 3 servers, they all communicate just fine.

Clients however can’t decrypt to join the network due to the key being “wrong”.

However everything indicates the key is correct.

Did you manage to get this working? What errors do you see in the Consul client agent logs?

Yes it eventually worked, but we did nothing specific. Ghost in the machine?
