Hope everyone is doing good!
Not sure this is the best place for this post. I’ve setup this secondary account on HashiCorp Discuss, since it is asking me for an OTP on my primary, but no code shows up anywhere.
What I want to know how to recover my original account under a different email?
What I tried:
1 - Login with my original email ( ie abc@domain.com etc ) and password. The system asks me for an OTP and indicates it’s been sent.
2 - No OTP token on any of my Authenticator applications. ( ? )
3 - No OTP I recall saving.
So I can’t login. I then:
4 - Create this new account with ( ie xyz@domain.com etc )
5 - Login to it.
6 - Change my secondary account email to my original email in #1 above.
7 - Get a warning that an account exists with email in #1 above.
8 - It still allows me to confirm the email change to the email in #1. ( ? )
9 - Email in #1 above is set on my new account on #4 despite #7. ( ?? )
10 - I try to login with email #1 above but again asks for OTP.
11 - I log out.
12 - Login with my new email account in #4.
13 - I see my original email #1, in my new account #4 now that I confirmed it in #8. ( ??? ) LOL
14 - My OAuth 2 email is still my new email in #4. ( ??? )
So how is this login supposed to work? How do I recover my OTP from the original account? Or how do I recover my original email?
