Question about service-resolver

Hi,

I’m preparing my consul beta exam and I came across an inconsistency (or misinterpretation my side).
This page (note at the end) tells me service-resolver is L4:


This page tells me it’s L7:

I guess the first page about L4 is incorrect. Can anyone confirm?

Hi @Vinclame,

The server router, splitter, and resolver were added when we introduced Consul L7 routing functionality. The second page refers to that fact.

The first page is correct in that service-resolvers work at L4, meaning they are supported for both tcp and http service protocols.
