Servicenow Vault Credential Resolver - Vault Configuration

Hello Hashicorp Comunity,

i have a question for a specific Vault Configuration in Servicenow.
So to use the Servicenow Vault Credential Resolver in Servicenow to get Credential/Secrets from the Vault through a Vault Agent Service (Windows) to the MID-Server you have to configure a few things in Servicenow.
I followed this documentation for it. Configure the Vault ServiceNow Credential Resolver
Scrolling down to the header “Configuring the resolver to use a secret”, under point 4. “Provide a fully qualified collection name (FQCN")”, the value of the “FQCN” is listed for different Servicenow instance versions.

We are currently working with Yokohama.
So the follwoing applies to us:
Yokohama: Requires “Yokohama Patch 7” for CredentialResolver UI support.”

But to be honest i do not know what that means.
How do i need to setup the Vault Configuration.
Name is optional. We chose “Hashicorp Vault”.
But what does the value need to be for Yokohama.
What exactly does “Requires “Yokohama Patch 7” for CredentialResolver UI support” mean?
For Xanadu or newer it is stated straight forward to set the value to “com.snc.discovery.CredentialResolver” but we are not yet on Xanadu.
So what exactly do i have to do for the Yokohama release?

If I am to believe Claude (I’m no ServiceNow expert) Yokohama came in 2025, Xanadu came in 2024.

So if you are on Yokohama patch 7, that is newer than Xanadu.

  • Xanadu (Q4-2024) or newer: use com.snc.discovery.CredentialResolver
