SSH certificate injection on Boundary Enterprise

Hi Boundary team,

I wanted to ask for clarification about SSH certificate support in Boundary, since the current situation is a bit confusing.

I understand that some features may not be available in the OSS version. However, the difference between HCP Boundary and self-managed Boundary Enterprise is less clear. The documentation suggests credential injection works in both, but in practice SSH certificate injection seems to only work in HCP.

For organizations that can’t use SaaS due to compliance or regulatory reasons, Enterprise is the only option. In that case, missing this feature becomes a serious limitation.

Could you please clarify:

  • Is SSH certificate injection planned for Boundary Enterprise?
  • If not, why is it limited to HCP?
