According to this docs,
-
ses_smtp_password_v4
- Secret access key converted into an SES SMTP password by applying AWS’s documented Sigv4 conversion algorithm. This attribute is not available for imported resources. As SigV4 is region specific, valid Provider regions areap-south-1
,ap-southeast-2
,eu-central-1
,eu-west-1
,us-east-1
andus-west-2
. See current AWS SES regions.
However, as far as I know there are more SMTP endpoints available than documentation.
In fact, I am using the ap-northeast-2
provider to generate my SMTP password for ap-northeast-2
SES, and it works fine. The terraform implementation doesn’t seem to restrict anything about regions.
What does that mean by “Valid Provider”? Does it mean SigV4 Encrypter/Decrypter? or SMTP endpoint? or just missing?
