I run packer using vmware workstation on Ubuntu 24 server. The output is Build 'vmware-vmx' errored after 8 seconds 300 milliseconds: linked clones are not supported on this version of VMware Player, please upgrade
The VMware is installed with the latest version (17.6.0) and has both player and the workstation. For some reason the default takes the player, which does not support the VM cloning. How to configure the packer plugin to use always the workstation?
