Nomad - Cron reference?

I noticed that Nomad uses a 6 digit cron format while UNIX uses a 5 digit digit format.

Can anyone provide any background on what drives this cron format? Is there a name for this 6 digit format? I am having a hard time finding this documented anywhere.

This doc should clear it up. Only 5 values are required but a 6th and 7th can be used.
