The Packer team is excited to announce the release of Packer 1.8.4.
This release contains a number of improvements to the HCP Packer components along with fixes to bugs across Packer core and its bundled plugins. For a full list of changes please see the Packer CHANGELOG.
This release is light in new features, as we’ve spent most of our time improving the overall user experience around HCL2 templates.
Packer user documentation has been moved to https://developer.hashicorp.com/packer. Users are encouraged to visit the new developer documentation portal for access to all Packer related documentation; including integrations with HCP Packer.
