Do I need to practice using HashiCorp Enterprise in order to obtain the HashiCorp Terraform and Vault Professional Certifications?
If then, I want to use the HashiCorp Platform for study purposes to prepare for the HashiCorp Terraform and Vault Professional Certifications.

Which pricing plan would be appropriate for this use case?

Also, similar to AWS instances, does the cost stop accruing when the service is stopped, or does it continue regardless?

The pro exam will have a lot of focus on set up/configuration for Vault, so your best option is to test with self hosted Vault (config files, audit config, etc). Similarly, PR and DR setup is much different with self hosted than HCP Vault.
