Terraform Cloud organization global variables?

Hi all,

Is there a way to specify global variables that can be used across all workspaces in an organization? This would be useful for API tokens which are the same for every workspace.

I don’t see that feature currently existing in Terraform Cloud directly.
But shared-across-the-organization variables is certainly a good reason for managing your organization using the Terraform Cloud (aka Terraform Enterprise) provider.

I was thinking it could be an extra feature specific to Terraform Cloud. These global variables would live in Organization -> Variables (not in a workspace). And could then be called from any workspace within that organization.

I agree - I think you should submit it as a feature request, either on Github or through email

Better to do it via GitHub- I’ve sent 2 or 3 emails to HashiCorp in the past (including a sales enquiry) and have never received replies
