The Terraform Enterprise team would like to announce the release v202410-1 (798) is now available.

Some key highlights and important bits from the release notes:

  • New Features:
    Terraform Enterprise now supports Azure backend workload identity credentials authentication and AKS workload identity authentication.

  • Improvements:

    • You can now use a SHA3 certificate for SAML signing validation.
    • Teams with admin access to the default project no longer need to specify a project ID when creating workspaces via API, simplifying workspace creation.
    • Memory leaks in the API serialization layer have been resolved, improving memory consumption of Puma processes over time.

  • Bug Fixes:

    • Various bug fixes, including issues with visibility of variable sets, performance improvements, and session cookie vulnerabilities. Review full list of bug fixes on the release notes.

Deprecation Notices:

  • The terraform-build-worker-plan-timeout and terraform-build-worker-apply-timeout attributes have been deprecated. Use plan-timeout and apply-timeout instead.
  • Replicated Native Scheduler will no longer be supported after November 2024.
  • The /vars API endpoint is deprecated, please transition to the workspace variables API /workspaces/:workspace_id/vars.
  • PostgreSQL v12 support will end on November 12, 2024.
