Hello :wave:

I have a few questions about vault

  1. Will it be considered good to use Vault to store application user secrets?

  2. If it will be possible to store user secrets, what will be the pricing when using enterprise to store about 1million secrets?

  3. How easy is it to migrate from using the open source to enterprise vault

  2. Vault is usually licensed by user (entity) not per secret.
  3. Very, just start up the enterprise binary and it’ll convert and enable the features. HOWEVER, going from enterprise to OSS is nearly impossible without a full raw export and import.

And moreover there is no standard export/import process so you have to build it yourself using the relevant bits of the Vault API for your use cases - hence the “nearly impossible”.
