Boundary connection to PostgreSQL server often fails

For a long time we are using Boundary to manage SSH connections to our infrastructure and that works without any issues so far.

Recently, we also started to use Boundary for connecting to some PostgreSQL instances managed by our IaaS provider. Connecting to Postgresql often fails on the first or second try, and sometimes once connected the connection is killed. What’s the best way to debug this issue?

Hi, thanks for your post! What sort of error messages are you seeing when connecting, or when a connection is disrupted? Do you see any messages in the worker logs? It’s a bit hard to help without more to go on, but it sounds like a network issue maybe? There should be no reason for SSH to work well and Postgres to fail.

Will for sure dig deeper to find the cause, but this will take a while.

I was just wondering if you are aware of problems for non-SSH connections.
