Disaster Recovery for Consul + vaut

Hi

I use Open source Vault v1.5.3 with Consul v1.5.2 as storage backend. The production setup runs in AWS and I am working on setting up a disaster recovery setup. Current plan is to have Cold stand-by using backup/restore consul snapshot. Looking forward for a better solution with better turnaround time for recovery, may be with a cross region data replication.

Your Vault and Consul versions are too old, it doesn’t work well at all. Currently, Consul is on 1.21 and Vault is on 1.19.
The newer Vault comes with build-in storage backend, so you do not need Consul as storage backend
