Does HashiCorp Boundary support RDP over UDP?

Hi,
I’m wondering if Boundary supports using the UDP transport option for Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), rather than just TCP.

From my understanding, RDP can improve performance by using UDP alongside TCP (as with the “TCP/UDP” setting in newer RDP clients).

  • Can Boundary proxy RDP sessions over UDP?

  • If not, is there any plan to support this transport in the future?

I couldn’t find a clear statement about this in the documentation.

Hi! Boundary does not currently support any sort of proxying over UDP, only TCP. I do not believe that we have any current plans for supporting proxying over UDP.
