File with common variables for more configurations

Hello everyone, hopefully this question was not here answered thousand times already but I spent a significant amount of time Googling this problem and maybe I already found an answer but I was not able to imagine it in my case.

I will try to explain the problem I am trying to figure out.
I have root folder and in it two subfolders.
Each subfolder is for configuration in different resource group in MS Azure.
Some of resources that being configured are having common values to be used.

My question is: Is it possible technically to have one file with common variables and somehow link them into configuration files in each subfolder?

I am attaching file with folder structure.
terraform_file_with_common_variables

For example in subfolder rg-…-SnapshotTest-004 in main.tf file with configuration to create resource group.

resource "azurerm_resource_group" "rgsnap" {
  name     = var.rgname
  location = var.location
  tags     = merge(local.common_tags,)
  lifecycle {
    ignore_changes = [
      tags,
    ]
  }
}

How can I refer for example property location to file as example common-variables.tfvars with common variables?

I am using Windows 10 with Terraform CLI 1.0 (Terraform v1.0.0 on windows_amd64)
This is specification in main.tf file.

terraform {
  required_providers {
    azurerm = {
      source  = "hashicorp/azurerm"
      version = ">= 2.26"
    }
  }

  required_version = ">= 0.14.9"
}

I would be really thankful for help how to write syntax. Or if anyone knows webpage where is explained this topic, it would be also appreciated.

Thank you
