We manage a custom provider and want to make the users move to newer version of our custom provider. Is there any way to depreciate older versions so that user get warnings of some sort that their current version of provider will be depreciated in future ?

As far as I know there isn’t a self-service way to achieve this but if you email the registry team at terraform-registry@hashicorp.com then they might be able to work with you to find a suitable compromise.
