Nomad Driver Virt 0.0.2-beta.1 Released

The Nomad team is pleased to announce the release of the Virt Task Driver for Nomad version 0.0.2-beta.1. This driver is currently in a tech preview.

Updates in this release include:

  • Client and task configuration updates to handle new storage features.
  • Storage pools are now used for managing virtual machine disks with support for host based directory pools and Ceph based pools.
  • Nomad volumes with block-device type can now be used for virtual machine disks.
  • Volume mounts are now supported within virtual machine tasks.
  • Support has been added for macvtap interfaces.

Nice update! The new storage and volume features make VM management much more flexible, and macvtap support is a great addition. Thanks to the Nomad team and community contributors for pushing this forward.
