Vault.d missing from /etc after installation

I recently installed Vault from a precompiled binary ( vault_1.3.1_linux_amd64.zip). I’m following the instructions from: https://learn.hashicorp.com/vault/operations/ops-deployment-guide.

I’m on Step 5 and it appears that vault.d does not exist in my /etc folder.

Have I missed something?

In step 5, the sudo mkdir --parents /etc/vault.d should be creating your /etc/vault.d folder. Did you encounter an error at that point?
