Vmware_desktop provider on Windows 10

I have completed all steps successfully following this documentation at:

Before completing this I read this Q&A from Vagrant website:

After doing/researching these thing above I can’t successfully launch a box w/ ‘vmware_desktop’ as the provider ALWAYS getting this output:
VagrantStatus_VMWareProvider

Is it not possible to create VM instance w/ vmware_desktop provider unless you have a VMWare Workstation Pro version of VMWare software? The verbiage on the first screen shot imply that it is possible, just w/ limited functionality.

Any idea what this file is that Vagrant can’t find and is constantly barking about? All 3 of these boxes I’ve brought in to my system have ‘vmware_desktop’ listed as an available provider.
