Boundary 0.15 has been released!

We’re excited to announce the release of Boundary 0.15.0. You can now download the Boundary 0.15.0 binary, and the latest Docker image from our Docker Hub repository.

If you believe you have found a security issue in Boundary, please responsibly disclose by emailing security@hashicorp.com. Our security policy and our PGP key can be found here.

Note: Boundary 0.15.0 will begin rolling out on HCP Boundary starting on Jan 31

Highlights:

Search & Filtering [Community/HCP/Enterprise]: Users can now search for targets and sessions in Boundary Desktop and the CLI. Search leverages a local cache for information about session and target resources. The local cache aids performance and helps prevent your system resources from being overwhelmed. Learn more: boundary search and Boundary list vs. search.

Session Recording Lifecycle Management [HCP/Enterprise Plus only]: 0.15 gives Boundary administrators a robust workflow to manage the lifecycle of their session recordings at the scope level according to the retention periods required by common regulatory frameworks. We introduce the concept of session recording storage policies, which you can learn more about here.

API Pagination [Community/HCP/Enterprise]: All list endpoints now support pagination, except for worker resources. You can request a list of updated and deleted resources relative to the last result you received using the API. There are new controller flags page_size and max_page_size to set the default and max size of pages.

Multi-Scope Roles & Role Inheritance [Public Beta, CLI/API only]: Role configuration in Boundary has traditionally been a pain point for administrators. Much feedback has centered around mismatched expectations where users assumed some kind of inheritance where roles in higher scopes (such as global) have grants that automatically apply to lower scopes (like orgs and projects). Multi-scope roles introduce this concept of inheritance through multiple scope grants in a role, which you can learn more about here. We will be adding support for multi-scope role administration using the admin ui and Terraform provider in a future release.

For more information about the new features and improvements introduced in Boundary 0.15, please see the release notes. Also, stay tuned for our release blog next week.

Thanks,
The Boundary Team

Hi, good news about new version! Thanks!
But it seems that new gui version 2.0.0 is not compatible with controllers 0.14.x

Any docs on upgrading procedure of controllers and workers from 0.14 to 0.15?
Are there any terraform provider updates and/or compability issues?
